The catalogue
Entries may be quoted with attribution, and linked to freely. A number, a title and a date are facts about an object and belong to no one.
The photographs
Each plate is a studio photograph and is not released for reuse. Reproduction in print or online needs written permission, which is usually given for editorial and scholarly work. Ask from the contact page and name the catalogue number.
The objects
Some objects are in private hands and are catalogued with the owner’s consent. A listing here is not an offer to sell.
Accuracy
Dates and attributions are the studio’s best reading of the evidence and are revised when better evidence turns up. Corrections are welcome.
